Darren Becker

President/Executive Director

Darren fell in love with tennis as a kid growing up on the North Shore. He captained the Manchester High School tennis team to a Massachusetts State Championship in 1998. Darren went on to become Captain of the Varsity tennis team at Wesleyan University, where he studied Philosophy. He received Academic All-Conference honors from the New England Small College Athletic Conference and graduated with High Honors in 2003.

Darren taught tennis at the Mount Auburn Club (MAC) in Watertown for over 10 years, where he coached and played on a number of championship-winning teams. During his tenure at MAC, Darren earned a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard University, studying Buddhism with a focus on meditation. After graduating from Harvard in 2015, he created his own Meditation Program at MAC, which had a loyal following for over four years.

Darren brings to Lexington Tennis Club a wealth of experience in tennis as well as extensive training in community leadership. As President of LTC, Darren is responsible for ensuring that the club follows through on its ideals and commitments to members, staff, and whoever who walks through the doors.
